Teona Titvinidze – Kapon is a Georgian artist. She was born and raised in Tbilisi, the capital of the Republic of Georgia. She started painting when she was a
child. During the time when she was
going to high school she was receiving private lessons from well known Georgian
painters. After graduating high
school she went on to continue her education in the Georgia Academy of the Arts. She graduated with high marks in
1993. In the same years she had her
first exhibition. In order to
advance in her profession she moved to the United States in
1994. During this time she had
several exhibitions including one of Nashville in
1995 and another with Rebecca Metlock at Columbia University.
Teona’s paintings are great examples of the Georgian school
of art. Some of her work is in
Georgian and American private collections.
Teona’s paintings are in the home of Shalikashui and in the United
Nations.
